Coarse, brittle, and unusable
I'm a spinner, dyer, and weaver. I'm well-acquainted with grades of wool, and microns. This is advertised as 23 micron, "next to skin" softness. This wool was brittle, itchy, and the only thing I could have used it for would be items worn nowhere near the skin. I was supposed to be eligible for a cash refund when I sent this back, but because I want to support other local businesses I said that I would accept a store credit. I was given the runaround, and there was never any concern on the seller's end for the inconvenience caused. Be very careful of claims by this seller of the quality of and "next to skin" softness of this wool. There's wool, and then there's top quality wool. Also: this giant arm knitting trend does real knitting a disservice. There's a reason for spinning fiber into yarn before knitting. The twist added to yarn makes it strong and resistant to abrasion and pilling. These unspun knitted blankets are only good for trendy photos.
