*November 2022: Eufy and Anker have been caught lying about the security of these devices. They are not properly secure and do not match their stated security standards. How can you ever believe anything about their products again? I purchased this device for multiple reasons and one of the key features was the ability to keep the recordings local and not require cloud storage on a less than trustworthy platform. Originally I was very pleased with this device, all features met or exceeded my expectations. However, Eufy's in-app marketing has become increasingly aggressive over the past few months. Starting with visually annoying icons attempting to indices you to look at their other products, and as of mid-October 2022 they are now pushing a new hub device ad that takes the full screen every time you open the app to see who is at your door. This requires you to swipe the unwanted ad away so you can see the doorbell camera image, the primary reason this product exists and I paid for it. This is NOT the way to entice me to ever buy anything from a company again, and I will actively tell people to avoid such companies.
