When I purchased this machine in June 2018 I was so excited when it arrived. After using it a few times I would have probably given it a 5 star rating. I was in love with this machine. It is now 6 months later and it stopped working. I received a E6 error which in the manual says the thread it twisted. That wasn't the problem. The machine completely locked up on me and I couldn't even move the hand wheel. I took it in for warranty repair and as soon as the lady helping me saw it she said that she knew exactly what was wrong with it because mine was the third they have had in the past couple of weeks. I told her I was hemming pants and she said what probably happened is that since this machine does not have a metal frame inside of it when the needle hit the thicker fabric it kicked the machine out of timing. She said they can fix it. I just have to wait 2 weeks to get my machine back. I can't get it back until they are reimbursed for the warranty repair. So as I said this is an excellent machine for beginners who are sewing simple seams, etc but it is not made for sewing thicker items or hems. So if you have been sewing for a long time this is not the machine for you.
