Audio quality is fine when extending a set of earbuds to listen. BUT - it does not extend the mic on a mic+earpieces headset. The plug does not have the 3rd contact needed to transmit the mic signal to the device. See the attached picture...on the left is the plug from a set of earbuds with a mic ... note the extra black ring on the plug compared to this Kinps extension cable connector on the right. I tried it - my Macbook won't detect my earbud mic while using the extension cord, but it does when I plug the earbuds straight into the computer. The listing here should make this more clear. I'm returning to buy one that supports my headset/mic.
