Design fail. The harness is made with the hook and loop i.e. velcro, with the wrong side down. After putting it on my cat to get her used to it I noticed she was in the same spot for a half hour. That was when I realized she was velcroed to the hall carpet runner and could not move. 2 inches of the velcro did not meet on the underside, normal as the harness is adjustable, but the hook part was facing down and it stuck her to the tightly looped carpet. All the manufacturers had to do was face the loop part downward instead of the hook part of the velcro. Dumb rookie sewing mistake. What if she had struggled to free herself and was injured? What if it trapped her under the bed and I didn't know it? I threw this harness out since it was too late to return it. Dangerous to pets.
