Note: I am updating this review after reaching out to the manufacturer based on the comment below. I reached out to the email address below twice and received no reply. The comment sent by the manufacturer below is only to make it appear that they care and would like to address the issue. I take exception to the fact that the manufacturer would just comment on the review to give the appearance that they want more information and I believe that this action is dishonest and unethical. I stand behind my review below. Had issues with the original unit and then received a replacement warranty unit that ultimately stopped working and then started smoking. With both units everything worked fine when i used it as a leaf blower, but when it is used as a leaf mulcher/vacuum it destroys the unit. When vacuuming dry leaves (and I mean just dry leaves) the motor and blade get loose and then it is functionally destroyed as either mulcher/vacuum or blower. Based my experience, I would not recommend using this as a mulcher/vacuum.
