Made me very ill - and proof of fake reviews.
I got very sick after taking these for a few days - and, well, could not stay out of the bathroom. I assumed I had picked up a stomach bug, so quit taking all of my supplements until I was better. Several days later, I was fully recovered and feeling better, so I took one with my meal and within a few hours, I started to get the stomach upset again and then was back in the bathroom again the whole next day. I figured I should check to see if anyone else had similar issues and I see that since I bought these, a lot of people have left bad reviews. So I went into every four- and five-star review over the last month, one by one, and here is what I found:
1. Over the last month, a surprisingly high number of reviewers (think I stopped counting at 10) left a review for this product and ONLY ONE OTHER - a male enhancement product. What a coincidence, right? But wait, there's more....
2. Again over the last month, besides ALL of those suspicious one-hit-wonder reviews, there is a whole other group of reviewers that have ONLY purchased and reviewed three products - all sold by this same company, of courses. Wow, another coincidence, freaky...And yet wait, there's even STILL more coincidences, if you can believe that.
3. There are yet ANOTHER handful of reviewers that have ONLY purchased and left reviews for ONLY this supplement and the EXACT same two jackets. SUPER WOW!
4. And if all that were not enough, all of these reviews for these identical products were all done in the same month, all within a few days' span.
So yeah, maybe I was a bit obsessive to go through each and every review from last month - and if I hadn't been so sick between my bed and bathroom, I wouldn't have normally had the time to spend on doing just that. If someone else wanted to go back further than last month, maybe they would find even more irregularities.
So my takeaway is this: I will definitely research my purchases more thoroughly in the future. The reason I bought this in the first place, is because it had so many high reviews. Guess I learned something there. I would like to return this for a refund, but not sure if I can at this point, but I am going to try, because I am extremely uncomfortable about this company and their products. I bought the Green Coffee Extract by this company at the same time and frankly, there's no way I trust any of their products after this. The dosage as stated on the bottle for the per capsule / per serving is incorrect as well, which is just another thing that screams something is just not right.
I don't write lots of reviews myself, but think I will now start to, because I am beginning to understand how important it is to have real people leaving honest reviews, and the only way to confirm that is to see their history of purchases over an extended period of time. The one thing I don't really understand is how these fake reviewers got the "Amazon Verified Purchase" on their reviews. Maybe someone else can share that if they know why.
