Simply put, you automaticly save by not buying this type of product, inside you would find the work horse is a 6uf capacitor rated at 600 volts ac, the other components are cosmetic to make the unit look technical.You would need one of these units at every motor ( refrigerator, heater blower, every ac unit,ect.ect ) and you still would not save anywhere near the expected 25 percent since the electric company charges only for actual power used. If you buy more expensive units that connect to your main circuit box, I do believe you will never recover the primary purchase price and just waist more money. If you really want to save on your electric bill check your refridgerator and freezer for correct operation (worn and dried out cracked gaskets ), the thermostats are set at the required tempeture and not to cold), cut back on the high wattege items (plasma tvs, electric space heaters, electric water heaters and ac units), I would recomment having your ac units serviced for correct charge and clean filters but that is another subject all by itself. After learning the hard way, before I purchase products and services, I always check the negative reviews on the internet, in the long run you can save a lot of head aches and dollars.
