Sadly, there's no way to leave negative stars. A total waste of time and money. Product arrived in a timely fashion however I couldn't use it for the first week or two. When I got to the point that I was going to use it, I was really excited thinking that it would cut my production time considerably. I'm building a 20 x 15 shed under my house and since the house sits on pilings I just had to frame it up tying into the existing structure. No big deal. Loaded up some 3in. galvanized nails and I'm ready to 'fly' through this puppy! Two nails - stop. Disconnect the hose and check for jams. Nothing. Reconnect the hose, two more nails, STOPS AGAIN. Repeat process, same result. I gave up on trying to toe nail entirely. If I wasn't trying to shoot nails at a 90 degree angle it was pointless. Put the gun away thinking maybe I'm doing something wrong. Day two same results. re-reading the instructions was pointless, no info in the trouble shooting section. Apparently, oiling the gun sovles ALL problems, according to the company (NOT). Fininshed framing by hand. Given the amount of time I was spending disconnecting and reconnecting the gun, this proved faster. Being somewhat stuborn (or stupid) I thought I'd give it the 'ole college try' . This time I was using shorter nails, 2 1/2in. for the T-111 siding. All 90 degree shots, no toe nailing or any other 'fancy stuff' like that. Surprise, surprise, two nails STOP. Resisted the urge to use the gun as a hammer and decided to borrow my neighbors 15 year old, rusty Hitachi gun that he's been using almost daily in construction. Flew throught the rest of the project. No jams. no disconnecting - reconnecting the hose dance, didn't have to use gallons of oil, just shot hundreds of nails. Could have bought the Hitachi from the local big box, but thought I'd give this a try and save a few bucks. If time is money NuMax owes me big time. Be smart and spend the extra money (or borrow your neighbors) and your blood pressure will thank you.
