Follow up: Remove washer to use any CR123 battery
The Olight will take store brand CR123 batteries IF you remove the rubber spacer that's located at the bottom of the battery well on the negative (-) side.
I used a pick to pry up the rubber washer that's held on by weak adhesive and all brands of CR123 batteries fit and locks into place. Nice try Olight, now i don't have to depend on your "custom" batteries as you mentioned in your email.
