I've been using TurboTax for over 15 years, and this year will be the last. When you install the 2019 edition, it now requires a "license code" to ensure that you don't use it on more than 5 computers. Considering how expensive this barely-usable software is, and that it is useless after just 1 year, it is a jerk move to try to wring every dollar they can from us. They're just trying to make it more inconvenient and expensive to get a family's money's worth from their software. If you make less than $69K, you don't need this software anyhow - just google "Free File: Do Your Federal Taxes for Free" and look for an IRS. GOV link to see what all your actually-free options are. Intuit makes it almost impossible to find their federally mandated actually-free web version with a standard Google search, so make sure to start at the IRS website, or you'll get taken to the cleaners by Intuit.
