Bests & Worsts Reviews from Amazon

I read bad reviews on products often and most of the bad reviews of the Better Shea Butter unrefined shea bitter said their orders smelled rancid. When I got my order I checked the expiration and it said April 2022. I opened the package and the smell was fine and the amount of product I received was a good amount BUT I immediately thought it was expired by how grainy it looked. The package said the graininess is normal but it doesn’t smooth out the way I’d expect Shea butter to smooth or how it looks on some of the pictures from other reviewers. I put this on my face at night and was fine. The next day I washed my face again and before I even put the Shea butter on it was burning. I thought the Shea butter would make it better but it literally kept burning until I washed the Shea butter off. (UPDATE: APPARENTLY ITS CALLED “IRRITANT CONTACT DERMATITIS” SO IT MAY HAVE HAD CHEMICALS OR SOMETHING IN IT **im not allergic to Shea butter**). Not to mention the Shea butter itself feels sticky after rubbing it in. I really feel like the product is supposed to be of good quality based on all of the good reviews but somehow I received a bad batch and it missed its mark (UPDATE April 28, 2020: I noticed after 3 people voted my review to be helpful my review was hidden by Amazon’s sensitivity filter & this makes me question the integrity of both Amazon and this company! I had to update my settings but keep in mind it had already been public before they hid it. For it to have so many positive reviews and to hide my negative review has me questioning how many other negative reviews are hidden just food for thought so BUYER BEWARE)
