If you buy it, you will cry
$60 for a game you can't play is brilliant. EA has evolved video game production to the point that they no longer even need to make a game - simply create a front end that tells people they can't play the game they've paid for.
Hey, EA, not that I think you care what consumers think, but you've just solved the software piracy problem by producing a game that pirates have no incentive to pirate; the fact that there is no reason for customers to buy it shouldn't bother you much.
My advice, if you own stock in EA, sell, I don't think I'm the only one who is going to hold a grudge.
