I have to say, as a long-time OtterBox fan, I'm incredibly disappointed by my experience with this case. I was very worried about breaking my new S8's screen, as I have heard that these phones can be very fragile, so I ordered a case I thought would generally protect it from harm. However, just this morning I dropped my 3-week-old phone for the first time from a park bench onto concrete from about 2.5 feet in the air, and when the phone landed on the rear side of the upper right hand corner, the entire corner of the screen had shattered. Mind you, this was not a face first drop by any means, but rather a drop onto concrete from a low height with the ground coming into contact with just the rear edge of the corner and the landing on the back of the phone. As someone who has never broken a device's screen before, I was incredibly disappointed that this case was unable to protect my phone from an impact that OtterBox cases have long hailed themselves to protect screens from - drops on the corner, especially considering this was the backside of the corner, and the impact was not severe in the slightest. I'm going to have a hard time ever returning to OtterBox when the price premium of this case and brand reputation evidentently don't guarantee the claims of protection made by the company.
