We have always bought Sunbeam electric blankets because they get very hot and we love getting into a toasty bed in winter. We have to replace them every year because they do tend to burn out fast but as long as they keep us warm through winter, we don't mind. Unfortunately we must have gotten a dud this year. Within the first month of usage the blanket was barely warm even at the highest setting. Now in February when we need it the most the sheets are freezing when we get in bed and there is no discernible warmth coming from the blanket. What a disappointment.
