This device is for an acoustic electric guitar having an electric pickup, not for an acoustic guitar with no pickup. The Amazon listing does not mention "electric" at all, and the bundle needed to convert your guitar to acoustic electric is not listed at all. I did not understand that until reading the hard-to-understand installation instructions, and realized there is no place to plug it into my guitar because my guitar has no electric wiring of any kind. Amazon does not list the pickup bundle needed to make it work, only the amp itself which requires an acoustic electric guitar. The Tonewood site does say in some places that you need an acoustic electric guitar, but in other places it says that the Tonewood amp is for acoustic guitar, which is NOT TRUE. What a farce that you don't have to drill holes in your guitar. Well, that is true if the hole has already been drilled when you installed an electric pickup. If there is not existing jack, you WILL have to drill a hole in your guitar or else have a big cable coming out of the soundhole. They got me to buy the product without realizing it WILL NOT WORK for my guitar unless a pickup and jack are installed. Lesson learned: READ THE FINE PRINT. They trick you into buying the tonewood, believing that once you have a nonworking device, you will go ahead and buy the pickup and drill the hole for the cable. And so yeah I will probably do that, but I definitely feel they tricked, me.
