Buyer beware!! Do not get the 4k!
Not the best version of the film. The movie itself is one of my favorites. That being said, of course I purchased the 4k remaster. Looks fantastic, but does not come with a digital copy code, even though it mentions it on the back cover. I thought that was a given these days, with all 4k releases.
It also only contains the original English dub. The 2nd dub, available on the 25th anniversary blu-ray, has improved translation and better voice actors.
The visual quality is good overall, but no major improvement. Sometimes it looks a little blurred, and sometimes flattened out. I think they just jacked up the contrast and called it 4k.
Overall: great film. For the best version, watch the $15 blu-ray/DVD combo. If you're feeling fancy, treat yourself to the steelbook version. Avoid the 4k.
