The handle and temperature change dial need to be in separate areas on the iron. Every time I pick up the iron my knuckles inadvertently changes the temp to a lower setting. The iron spat water on my garments and I followed instructions. Our water isn’t hard here either. Gotta say for the price I’m disappointed. The steam is nice. I debated getting another but the handle design is ridiculous and not thought out very well. You have to relearn how to hold an iron to avoid changing the temp. Not sure I can get another with the handle issue. I have medium size hands for a guy. They aren’t big.
