Easy to assemble if you follow the instructions. Took me about an hour and I was happy. HOWEVER, it is apparently not meant to be in your yard since the wood cracked and broke. The wood warped and rippled. The nails broke in the seat and the arm area did not attach properly. There is an insert and you screw a wood screw into the insert. However the insert wasn't seated properly and the arm didn't properly attach. I used liquid nails to secure it but overall, I was very disappointed in this chair. I never heard back from the seller when I provided them this feedback. Don't waste your money.
