I am SO TICKED OFF! This is NOT the MSM that I ordered. Come ON, Amazon! Regulate your sellers better FFS. (FYI this is in ref to a product photo advertising Dr.'s Best with OptiMSM. They may have actually updated the photo now.) I use MSM to clear up acne marks. IF it's good stuff then I can clear a complexion in 2 days. I have an event this weekend. Today is Wednesday. I ordered this crap Monday morning because of the advertised OptiMSM which is the original MSM producer/research group from the 70's. Now I'm screwed. This sucks. What's the big difference between Lignisul and Opti? A lot. "Lignisul MSM is manufactured by Fine Netraceuticals, Inc. (FNI) at a facility in Alabama (granular) and in Canada (powder) from DMSO obtained from a FNI-owned facility in China. Their DMSO is produced through a chemical reaction. The DMSO is tested upon arrival to the US to strict guidelines prior to manufacture into MSM. Then the MSM is tested by an independent third party for purity and contamination where it is certified as 99.9% pure and free of contaminants and heavy metals. While Lignisul is made in the US, not all raw materials originate in the US. FNI does not currently pay any royalties to the MSM patent holder, MSM Investments Company, LLC., claiming that the existing patents are either invalid or expired. FNI (formerly CarolwoodMSM) won a court decision in August of 2001, which reinforced their position on at least one of the patents. OptiMSM is manufactured in Washington by Cardinal Nutrition at a facility that Cardinal owns and is dedicated only for making MSM. Their plant is NNFA GMP certified. They obtain their DMSO from the only US-based provider of DMSO. Therefore, OptiMSM is made wholly in the US from raw materials obtained in the US and North America, and is also certified as pure and free of contaminants and heavy metals. Cardinal does pay royalties to the MSM patent holder, MSM Investments Company, LLC., but is not the patent holder itself. Dr. Stanley Jacob, one of the authors of The Miracle of MSM - The Natural Solution for Pain, has given his endorsement to the OptiMSM brand." - [...] The photo of the pill bottle above shows a blue "OptiMSM" seal. The bottle I got has a "Lignisul" seal. This is FALSE advertising. AND to make add salt to the wound, the price I paid for it on Monday was: Order Total: $12.95 - Today, two-days later, it's: Price: $6.90. Scandalous. I am demanding a full refund. SHAME on AMAZON and on the supplier, House of Nutrition, Inc. These are health products you're selling. Not a pair of shoes. These items are actually important to get right. Edit: Amazon graciously gave me a full refund and since I am stuck on a deadline to do a show this weekend, and I have marks to clear up - I am stuck taking this Chinese/Alabama garbage till I can find some real OptiMSM. Update: The House of Nutrition sent two passive aggressive emails about how they want me to remove my review because it hurts their business and then told me Lignisul was fine and not made in China. When I sent them case information of the Lignisul company dating back a decade of dealing with Chinese MSM they relented and the owner contact me and told me they're on the case. This was a week and ahalf ago. Haven't heard back from anyone since. As for the quality of the product. It's no quick healer in the capacity I've had from Opti. So there you go.
