I bought these pans on the recommendation of a chef who used them regularly. I had been looking for a pan to use EVERY morning for hash browns, and with a safe cooking surface. I thought that this larger of the two pans in the set, was IT. After a few weeks of use, the finish started to come off (and we know where those pieces ended up) and I've not used it at an unsafe high heat for it, just for frying hash browns. I did ask the chef if his pans reacted this way and they didn't. It's my fault for not contacting Amazon about this during the return period. I am stuck with it and it's going into the trash. I will contact the manufacturer, but I'm not expecting to get an answer or a replacement. Just be aware.
