This is a total departure from what the fans of this game wanted or expected. This game feels like it was designed to follow the Battle Royale trend of recent shooters then the idea was scrapped and we now have a soulless, empty feeling shooter. The game play and tone has changed drastically to make war seem like a fun game which was never been the feel of the Battlefield series. Issues: no scoreboard, disbanded lobbies, limited weapons, horrible hit detection, limited environment destruction, removal of classes which was the basis of this game. Little to no incentive to play medic, repair vehicles or even play as a squad because there is no chat and little to no XP is given. Massive maps with empty spaces. No server browser, map rotation repetitive. Can’t adjust loadout while waiting for game, animation of loading weapon while spawning every time results in easy enemy kills. Animation/cut scenes are bad and out of place. The real intent by the studio, they added specialists with specific abilities so you can purchase “skins” for your characters! They also say really funny, quirky lines after a match, a great mix for a war simulator. The specialists don’t make sense they play for all sides! No specific specialists for a nation? An American special forces soldier is a specialist for Russia? I’m convinced the developers did not play this game. The developers/studio have no idea what a modern Battlefield should be. If you were hoping for a new Battlefield 4 with the core gameplay and updates you will be disappointed. This is not it.
