If I could give minus stars to this I would!!!! Most people would consider me an expert cook/ at home chef. I decided to buy a roaster because I was catering a meal for my friends family and I wanted the oven space for all of my dishes. I also thought it would be great to carry and keep warm. I followed the instructions to the letter. I even carefully read the reviews here. People saying not to open the roaster as it steams the bird keeping it moist. I turned the roaster onto 350, put my bird in, and something just didn't seem right. I wasn't getting that beautiful aroma... Finally after 2.5 hours I opened it and found the turkey burnt to a crisp!!! I'm hoping that since other people have had such good luck that the one I received was faulty with a broken thermostat. Thankfully, I do know how to cook, ran to the store and was able to speed cook a turkey from scratch in time to serve dinner just a few minutes late. I paid so much money for my bird...and spent time doing a special brine the day before... I'm broken hearted!!! Do not buy this!!!
