The stand itself is very solid. Immediately after using the stand for the third time, my smart keyboard stopped working. Spent hours on google trying to troubleshoot the issue. Was about to head to the Apple store and get a replacement when I noticed that the case appeared to be bent at one of the corners. A closer examination revealed that the case wasn't bent - the iPad was! So now I have the harrowing task of carefully trying to bend this $2000 device back into shape without cracking the screen in the process. So far I have restored the shape enough to get the smart keyboard working again, however it is still slightly bent at one side. Definitely would NOT recommend this stand for use with a 12.9" iPad Pro. It barely fits in the first place. When coupled with the fact that the current generation iPad Pro is very thin with a large screen, I guess it it is plausible that any kind of torque at all applied to the tablet would result in a bent device. A very clear warning that this stand should not be used with a 12.9" iPad should be added to the description of the stand.
