Unfortunately I bought it about six weeks ago so it's not returnable, but a can opener isn't something I use every day. I just discovered that this one is defective. Given KitchenAid's reputation I definitely expected a better product. I took a video of it spinning and spinning and making no progress, but can't seem to upload it here. Even from the lid you can see I had to keep puncturing it manually, which is tedious and leaves dangerously sharp teeth on the lid.
