Put the books aside, this is a completely mindless presentation with aimless direction, flat characters, bad casting, worse dialog, a huge world of places and events happening with nothing explained even at the most base level. Incredibly large settings and concepts are never fleshed out. Barely any time is spent on world building or character development. Dialog is a bad teen drama rather than the intelligent and deep thought Wheel of Time should be. Massive events are crammed into seconds of screen time that makes the story impossible to follow and so empty. It is hard to care about anyone or anything in this bad telling of a rich and nuanced world. Robert Jordan would be outraged and saddened to see his intellectual and nuanced story turned into this pathetic excercise in visual effects, bad dialog, teen drama, and diversity for the sake of it. The books were already a celebration of feminisim, cultural diversity, personal struggles, teamwork, villains and heroes. As usual in these times, vapid imbeciles with the loudest voice but nothing real to say have won the day with a story of virtue signaling but no depth of understanding. This bad remake is already in season one as bad or worse than Game of Thrones phoning it in for their last season. What a complete waste of what is perhaps the deepest, most epic fantasy of all time. Outrage doesn't even describe. The writers have no idea what they are doing and the acting is all over the map. Star Wars prequels look competent and amazing next to this drivel. Just save yourself the time. Thanks for nothing Amazon and Sony.
