Update: A year and a half after purchasing the lamp/magnifier tje wiring broke where the magnifier attaches to flexible metal arm. Light no longer works. Not made to last. When sitting in recliner, I cannot adjust the height of arm low enough so that the bendable part of arm bends over to the right position to read a book in lap; So the magnifier sits too high to read, and if I bend in over so it's low enough, then it swings toward me or away from me, affecting the size of print. I tighten the screw as tight as possible to secure arm in right position, but it doesn't keep the bent arm in place. It tips over if the arm in the bent position is not directly over the elongated part of the base. I rarely use it due to these issues. Impossible to read a book with it.
