If you find the following offensive, I apologize. It isn’t intended to offend. These spokesmen/women seem to be very much products of their generation. In them we see the progress of New Age philosophy. I found it interesting that people can speak with such authority about subjects that have no scientific foundation. Don’t get me wrong; I believe that the body dies and the soul passes into another realm, but I have no proof; it is only my belief. I hope they are right, but there is a niggling in my spirit brought on by the attitude of elitism among these ‘enlightened’ that puts them above the masses, an attitude of “Look at us. See how evolved we are.” I found that off putting because understanding of life’s deep mysteries, in my opinion, should be accompanied by an equal measure of humility. I saw none of that. How can intimacy with the divine (personal spirit guides/spirit teachers) not pierce the heart and bend the knee?
