The fire pit worked well while the metal bowl was intact. But the bowl rusted out in about 8 months, and when it failed while we were burning a moderate fire, the ceramic sides of the fire pit started to burst with some intensity. While no damage was done to surrounding people/objects, it was not an experience we would care to repeat, and the fire pit is clearly not useable.
