NOT THE SAME ANYMORE, NEED MORE QUALITY CONTROL AND TIGHTER MANUFACTURING TOLERANCES
My roommate and I purchased these containers 3 times. 1) I had bought 30 of these containers back in 2019 for meal prepping, and they were great. Tops fit well, they were durable, and everything stacked well. I would give these 5 stars. 2) I also recommended it to a roommate who purchased 20 early in 2020. Those were great; nothing to complain about. Even though they had a different marking on the tops, they were fully compatible with the the first. 3) I ordered some more in May 2020 to add to my 30 I already had. However, these *are not the same ones* as those ordered in (1) or (2). In particular, there are 2 big problems with it: A) The tops on the new containers don't fit the old bottoms, and the top of the old containers don't fit the new bottoms. However, the bottoms all look exactly the same and are impossible to tell apart without trying to put them on. And it's only a slight difference but totally makes them not usable with each other. Imagine how frustrating it is to only realize after first use they are not compatible and needing to tediously test and separate out 30 containers and tops from 40 containers and tops that look *exactly* the same. It's totally unworkable to have both sets of containers in the same kitchen. But now that they've been opened and used, how can I return them? Had I known they would be different than the product under the same listing, I would have bought something else. B) Even ignoring the compatibility issue, the new ones (circa May 2020) are just much more sloppily manufactured than the old ones. The tops don't fit as well on the containers (some are slightly too large and you can see a clear bend). Also, if you try to stack the tops, they won't stack flat -- the tabs start to curl up; this is a big problem when trying to store a bunch of these containers neatly. The old ones would stack flat. See pictures -- new ones on the left, old ones on the right.
