But in the long run. . .
This is a nice, thick cushion, which is why I bought it. On first try I was boosted significantly and felt sufficiently supported; however, it has too small a base for its thickness. I can easily find myself tilting off-center if I'm not exactly square on it, which can prove difficult to estimate while actively in the process of seating oneself. Unfortunately, it also exhibits dismal resiliency. After a just a few days of use, it would already compress to negligible thickness within an hour, essentially nullifying any boosting effect it originally afforded me. Once it is compressed like that, it feels quite hard, ruining its usefulness as a cushion. In addition, after a couple of weeks it already slopes to one corner, even when not being used, despite regular rotation. Perhaps a child or a tiny woman could make use of it as a booster at the dinner table, if it were a short meal and they had a way to prevent falling if it listed to one side. It might also serve quite nicely as a comfortable pillow-perch for an aristocratic cat (if it weren't a Manx or Maine Coon) or maybe a dog of diminuitive breeding. It is not a match for my purposes. I suspect that it would not possess sufficient square-footage or durability to meet the needs most full-grown adults.
May 2017 update:
I've decided that most reviews are written within 0 - 72 hours after the order arrives, while folks are still thrilled with the potential of the new item and can give no feedback on how it serves them in the long run. With a cushion, a retrospective review of something's long-term service is crucial, unless you're rich enough to buy a new one every week. This cushion was basically a fraud in my book, absolutely no good for a full-size human. The foam part has been sitting in the "outgoing" corner for a couple weeks, now. I was going to try making a beanbag pillow with the case (it's a nice, zippered case with a slip resistant bottom) and the guts of 2-3 microbead pillows, but that was a notably uncomfortable, unpleasant venture. But, Reduce, Reuse, Recycle, right? I'm going to stick the foam back in and see if the Yorkie has any use for it. Hope to update if he likes it!
