A big disappointment for my 7 year old. This was the one thing he really wanted for Christmas. I purposely purchased this as I thought it would be better quality than the small cotton candy makers at our local toy store. The first use produced only mabye a cup size amount of cotton candy. After this I tried on numerous occasions to change the variables in hopes of having success. I tried warming it up longer, up to 30 min. , Using more or less flossing sugar and different brands of flossing sugar. I soaked and washed the spinning disk in hot water and made sure there was no sugar residue left in the disk. I dried it overnight in front of a small heater to insure it was dry after each use. None of these attempts produced any cotton candy at all. I have given up on this Nostalgia maker, perhaps we will try a commercial grade cotton candy maker. I wish it had worked properly.
