I researched popcorn poppers after my Black and Decker broke down after nearly 20 years! This popper at the time had no negative reviews. First time I used it I did not fill the cup so I had unpopped hot kernels of corn shooting at me and my kitchen. Second try I filled the cup with a bigger amount, soon I had popped kernels all over my countertop, (two handfuls) the bowl you use to catch the popcorn needs to be turned so it doesn't overflow and at the end you still have hot kernels shooting out at you. This is a terrible design and unsafe to use. The same item has 50% bad reviews at another vendors site! I even found popped kernels had shot up and into my toaster! Dangerous for unattended kids to use!
