These are good-looking, sturdy chairs. I have three kids that have taken making messes to an art form, so I decided to scotch guard these chairs to keep them looking good for as long as possible. I did the fabric test like you're supposed to (on the bottom of the chair) and everything was fine. I sprayed them down with the scotch guard, and the immediately started staining blue along the top of the back. I guess there's some sort of reaction with the metal in the seat. I won't buy them again, which is a shame because I'll be looking to replace these asap.
