This was a very popular feeder . . . while it lasted. The feeder would be emptied out daily by sparrows, finches, and cardinals. While I could have done without so many sparrows, it wasn't the feeder's fault . . . it was quite popular. My problem with the feeder is that it just didn't last. It began to rust underneath the (rather ineffective) baffle. Then, the coating on the wire that attaches to the branch or hook, which had a plastic coating on it, began to peel back so that when I attempted to press the release button to open the feeder to refill it, I could only get it open a tiny bit before the plastic coating bunched up and I couldn't get it open. It got worse and worse until the "release" button didn't work at all, and I had to pitch it. I might expect this after several years with a feeder, but I had this maybe two months. For the price, it was a disappointment.
