Update (1/10/17) Disgusting news -- I just read that Bain Capital recently invested In Sundial Brands (SheaMoisture, Nubian Heritage). This partnership clearly led to the horrible Raw Shea and Myrrh soap reformulation, making it cheap quality and harsh. Nubian Heritage's Twitter shows the new packaging is theirs. Anyone who tried the original will be sorely disappointed. The good stuff is never coming back. I'm not lining Bain Capital's pockets on this one. What a loss. Original review: What I received had neither the packaging shown for this listing, nor the same product inside. I am very familiar with how this soap should be. The real (or original) product is the best soap I have ever used. What I received from and returned to the seller is the worst. The scent has a dominant harsh, caustic odor over a weak fragrance that is only vaguely reminiscent of the soap I thought I was getting. The ingredient lists are completely different. I tested the feel and finish in a hand wash and found that it is very drying, unlike the smooth soft finish of the soap I expected to get. If this is a reformulation by Nubian Heritage, shame on them. If it is a counterfeit, I hope it stops selling. No one should want this soap. I am posting pictures of the good and bad boxes and ingredients of each. -
