You basically have to touch the object all the way to the lens to get a clear image of it. Update: After writing this review the seller has not stopped emailing me over and over requesting that I remove my negative review of this product. I'm getting emails weekly from the seller at this point (well over a year after my purchase) asking me to remove my review. To whatever credit it's worth, they have offered to send me a new pair, discuss my opinion of the product, and refund me the cost of it if I remove the review. Unfortunately, that's not how this works. I do not think this product functions as it's advertised and I think other shoppers deserve to know that. I am reviewing the Qooltek Bracket/Headband Magnifying Glass which is advertised for painting, sewing, jewelry making, drawing, etc. You couldn't possibly do any of those activities with these magnifiers. The distance the object needs to be from the glasses is so short that there is no chance of getting a brush, file, pencil, or god forbid a needle, anywhere near the object. If you're trying to inspect a circuit board to see if your solder flowed properly, these would be fine. If you're inspecting a stone for internal cracks...sure. Everything else they advertise as possible is not with these. Now STOP harassing me!!!
