This is a decent product. It was easy to configure and add several GE and Zooz dimmers and switches. The iOS app works well and so does the integration with Amazon Echo. "Hey Alexa, turn off the kitchen lights" is pretty fun. I've been using this for about 2 weeks now with good results. BUT, Wink has severely handcuffed this device for all but the simplest device configurations. Most Z-wave dimmers support "advanced parameters" for controlling the dimmer behavior -- ramp rate, number of steps, LED indicator behavior, etc. Simple config settings for the dimmer. In my case the dimmer response is very stiff -- a short press of the rocker leads to a large change in intensity -- making it very hard to precisely control from the switch. Wink Hub 2 offers no way change these parameters, which is frustrating for a device of this class. Wink support confirmed this -- and offered no alternate solution when I asked about workarounds. If I can't tweak a simple dimmer control option, how can depend on this for more complex home automation uses? Currently 50/50 on keeping this... I like the app and interface, but it's missing critical functionality.
