DO NOT BUY! This ONLY works with a subscription - I knew that before I bought it. And they say free trial, but couldn't get that to work so went ahead and paid for a subscription. I tried for 3 days and device NEVER got a signal either while on dog or in my hand. I even drove 30 miles through town with it powered on and on my dash; when I got home it said no history. Granted cell signals are weak here - but I still have 1-2 bars of mostly 4G and can continuously make and receive calls without issue. After 3 days of continued trying I gave up. Amazon accepted return without issue. Tractive website (from Austria) makes cancellation and refund of the subscription service a nightmare. Website says in multiple places that you can get a refund within 14 days - but how? They do not allow you to remove your method of payment and only say that it will go away if you cancel your subscription for future charges. Digging very deep they have a link to request an RMA (which they say is the only way to get a refund), however it requests email address and "order number". But the Order number (even what they show in their link of where to find the order number) does not exist. I have account numbers, invoice numbers, transaction IDs, etc - none are ever accepted. They DO NOT have a phone number for support or even a chat option. I filled out a form, but we'll see how that goes. I do keep good records and took screen shots throughout the process, so submitted a request to PayPal to dispute with my documentation. Regarding Battery, they are also wayyyy off. I gave it a full 100% charge for several hours on Tuesday morning. Then after lunch time I put it on my dogs collar during the day and he went in and out of the house and around the property (6 acres) with me. By 8am the following morning the device had no charge and of course never updated or showed any activity online the entire time. Since that was no more than 18 hours and not in "Live" mode, it gets far less than the advertised "In general, the battery life of the Tractive GPS tracker is 2-5 days, with a charging time of up to 3 hours".
