The cartridges that come with the printer belong to HP and if you install them, you will be signing up for their Instant Ink whether you intend to or not. The cancel at any time claim is also false, as the cancellation isn't valid until the next billing cycle. In the meantime, they can charge you whatever they want to. After an hour on the phone with an HP supervisor, HP agreed to send me regular ink cartridges and refund my charges. However, if I had it to do over, I would buy a printer without the Instant Ink scenario. As it is, they made it right with me and the printer works just fine. Too much trouble to return at this point.
