Would've given 5 stars but they just changed the formula!!! This product now lacks brewer's yeast and they added cellulose. I've been using this product for 2-3 years as a regular treat for my cats, since I feed them raw food (which digests more slowly). The reason I feed my cats raw food is because one of them has extremely severe allergies to the bulking agents used in most cat foods, among other things they put into regular store-bought commercial-type cat food (well really, what *don't* they put into commercial cat food? I digress...) If you didn't know, cellulose is a plant fiber bulking agent (it's also known as sawdust/wood pulp). This product's prior lack of cellulose + the fact that this product used to contain brewer's yeast (which is really super healthy for cats) were two very big reasons I loved this product's previous formulation so dearly. So.... cellulose is bad for most cats (they're obligate carnivores - go look it up if you're not in the know), and it's one of the ingredients in most store-bought cat food that happens to give my cat painful, bloody diarrhea (that's actually what his aforementioned "extremely severe" allergic reaction is, in case you were wondering). I really hope someone at Vet's Best reads this (who can pass along my complaint)...either way, I plan to call the number on the bottle tomorrow and let them know that if their costs went up, I would've gladly paid a bit more so they wouldn't have had to ruin a perfect, ideal feline dietary supplement (which is truly what it used to be). P.S. - now my cats won't touch this stuff (they used to go crazy for the old formula). So even they can tell that now it's pretty much just a damn sawdust wafer. What a shame.
