EDIT: My original review is below this. I've had this unit about 3 weeks, and 2 weeks in it malfunctioned. It would still work, but only parts of the screen were visible. I couldn't tell what the timer said, and about 3/4 of the modes were blank. As well as the strength setting. Like I said, it still functioned, but without knowing what the settings and strength were on, it was annoying. I returned it and ordered a different one from a different manufacturer. Be wary of many of the 5 star reviews. When I purchased this, there was a card in the package asking me for a review on Amazon and I would receive a free set of pads. That sounded great, so I contacted the seller. They wanted a 5 star review when I contacted them. I used it for several days and then gave the honest review below. Looking back, it seems like a way for them to falsely boost their Amazon reviews because many people will gladly write a short review for something free. I did. I'm coming back to edit so that hopefully someone sees this and avoids this product. Original review: I had one of the IcyHot smaller Tens Units, and it ate through batteries pretty quickly. I liked that this one could support multiple electrode pads, different modes of therapy, and most of all, rechargeable. The unit came fully charged, and between my wife and I using it on a couple of different areas, it still has a good amount of charge left. Overall it was used about 2 hours the day we got it and still has plenty of life left. The other unit we had would have needed a new battery by then. The size of the unit is great. Very portable if I needed to bring it to work with me. The size is very similar to an old iPod I used to have. Can easily slip into your pocket and forget it is there. The little storage bag keeps the unit, wires, and multiple electrodes all in one place for convenience. The screen is very bright when making changes to settings, and is easy to read. The level adjustment is simple, and I like the different timer settings plus auto-off.
