Piperine in this supplement, while enhancing the absorption of tumeric, can alter or accelerate absorption of other meds one is taking. I learned this the hard way. I take cardiac meds that lower the heart rate. After beginning this supplement, I suffered from severe heart palpitations similar to heart block. Scary stuff. After researching and process of elimination, piperine appears to be culprit. Do the research. If you are on no meds, this should be no problem. But if you are on any meds whatsover, check with your doctor and pharmacist before taking this supplement.
