This was my second order of this razor through Amazon. The first one that I bought would turn on randomly and it would not turn off, no matter what I did. The only thing I could do was put it on a soft surface out of the room to let it vibrate until it died. I thought it was a fluke or defective product, so I tried charging it up again only to have it happen the next day. Amazon took it back and sent me a new one. The new one started off better and it wasn't having this issue until about 6 months later (well out of warranty) when it started doing the same thing that the first one was. I let it run until it died and when I charged it again, it seemed to work. In the last couple months, it happened on a off at totally random times. Most of the time, it actually allowed me to turn it off. Finally, today while I was at work, it apparently turned itself on again and it fell off the sink and I found it in two pieces on the bathroom floor, with the main piece still vibrating... I do not recommend taking the risk on this electric razor as it is a huge pain in the butt.
