Defective Product! This Sunbeam Electric Blanket controller melted and caught fire at our house yesterday. We have the week off for the holidays so we were at home and lucky for us we smelled the burning smell. It was used the night before but not turned on when this took place. Just plugged in the wall. We went around to try and find the source of the burning smell and walked into the bedroom and found flames coming out of the blanket controller and up the wall burning the wall and wallpaper! We smothered the fire and got it put out. I am very upset this happened. If we weren't home then our whole house could have burned down. We have damage we need to fix to the wall and disappointment that Amazon would sell a horrible product like this. We could have lost our house! DO NOT BUT THIS PRODUCT!
