I purchased this for my guest bathroom. I needed a towel bar and liked the shelves. It arrived unassembled in a flat box. The end pieces are painted plastic - not metal. It screws together to be a lightweight shelf unit. It only has two holes to mount the item to the wall. Itjust feels flimsey so I would hesitate to put much of anything on this. Right now it has one hand towel and potpourri. That's it. I wouldn't recommend it.
