This is NOT Japanese Camellia oil. Wrong flower, wrong title, shame shame
Very misleading with the photo of the flower. Japanese Camellia oil or Tsubaki oil which is pressed from the seeds of the camellia japonica plant which is more like a tree with beautiful rose like flowers in many different colors. This has been used for the skin and hair for centuries in Japan as a beauty ritual and has a light aromatic scent.
Camellia Sinensis is a bush like plant with simple white flowers grown for it tea leaves. The oil made from this plant is edible and has many purposes. Its readily available and far cheaper than Camellia japonica.
Beauty wise Camellia japonica oil is what people are looking for when they search for Japanese Camellia oil. Is more expensive and has excellent topical properties.
I'm quite tired of Amazon sellers hiking up the prices of cheap tea oil and passing it off for Japanese Camellia oil. Honestly you can get organic cold pressed camellia tea oil at 64 oz for less $25 if that's what your looking for.
I'm not saying that this is a bad oil just grossly mislabeled and represented. I had to read the ingredients list to find out the truth.
