Bests & Worsts Reviews from Amazon

I purchased this radio about 2 years and 9 months ago. I loved everything about it up until about the 2.5 year mark. It was at that time that I started having problems with it. The buttons on the top started acting funny. The number 1 button would not respond unless i pushed it really hard or pushed it about 10 times. When I would push the power button the light would come on but the radio would not actually turn on. These problems are not constant but intermittent. But enough to make things quite irritating. All of this is very frustrating as I have never dropped the radio, never gotten it wet, never even taken it outdoors. I have treated it very well. I called C. Crane about a week ago to see if there was anything I could do. They were very friendly, but basically told me I was out of luck. They would not exchange it for me as it is past their 1 year warranty. They said I could send it in for repair but that it would cost me 70$. This is a huge disappointment. I believe most of the positive reviews for this radio were written by people who just recently bought it. It would be nice to see more reviews from people who have actually used it for several years before reviewing.
