Realize that this purchase is bad for our environment. The unit is sealed and there's no way to replace the light. Once it stops working this hard plastic with electronic components goes into the land fill. Another negative - stated in the instructions, is that it can interfere with radio waves, this means it gives off EMFs. So, even though so far, the light works fine as advertised for reading and can be dimmed, the materials are wasteful and bad for our environment. In the future I'll look for products (even if they cost more) that are thoughtful about the future of the planet.
