I'm Good on Seconds
As an African-American person, we have to live with this racial terrorism in real life. The whole race and thriller genre was clever at first (i.e. Get Out, Tales From The Hood) but now everything has social and racial agendas attached. What happened to horror/suspense being a entertaining source of escapism from the the real world? I know sometimes white spaces can be scary BUT watching these movies make it even more triggering for me...guess I will be sticking to Nightmare on Elm Street.
